Barry Kibrick: ‘Love Your Mistakes’
“Mistakes are your best assets. They hone your skills and develop your creativity. I'm not sure a lot of NFL history fans are aware of this, but the Colts Mike Curtis, who is one of the best linebackers ever, started off as a fullback. I think it's safe to say that Don Shula was smart to switch Curtis to LB.The Bears were 9-5 in 1965, with rookies Dick Butkus and Gayle Sayers and had a very good team. The Colts were 10-3 and this close to getting to the NFL Championship, before losing out to the Green Bay Packers. So this was an excellent matchup.Historically at least, the Redskins-Cowboys rivalry, has been the best rivalry in the #NFCEast, at least. Especially in the 1970s and 80s when you look at all the regular season, playoff games, championships, all the great games they had against each other, how the fans and players feel about each other. For two decades there wasn't a better rivalry in the #NFL, then what the #Redskins and #Cowboys had with each other.Historically at least, the Redskins-Cowboys rivalry, has been the best rivalry in the #NFCEast, at least.
